As a professional graphic designer for over 16 years, I specialize in magazine, book, advertising, poster, web, and social media design, as well as art direction, production and pre-press. I offer exceptional concept and layout skills, a bold use of color and typography, a razor-sharp eye for detail, a rad portfolio, and a great sense of humor.
Most of my career has been spent corrupting minds and mildly mocking society while working at MAD Magazine. Beginning in 2003, I worked along side and sat at the feet of the original "Usual Gang of Idiots" in New York City for over a decade. In 2017, MAD magazine moved out west and joined parent company DC Comics in Burbank, CA. I was given the opportunity as Design Director to reconceive the magazine for a new audience.
For the next two years—nine issues—I was able to run wild, injecting MAD with a new vitality, while still respecting and staying true to its distinguished history. Our West Coast efforts were an immediate success—outselling NYC on the newsstand, significantly increasing our subscriptions, and snagging our first-ever Eisner nomination. However, in June 2019, it was announced that MAD was cancelled and would no longer be printing new material. The redesigned MAD may have been short-lived, but creatively, it was one of the most exciting and rewarding projects of my career.
Thank you!
